Use technical skills and knowledge in order to carry out the job in a professional, cost effective, and
suitable manner and omit the chances of error/defects and poor workmanship in any assigned job. And to
establish a career in engineering where I can demonstrate the learning outcomes of Mechanical
Engineering program of the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP), a program accredited by US-
based outcomes-oriented ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology), Engineering
Accreditation Commission.
Design Project: Design of a Portable Rice Dryer
A thesis focusing in agricultural development specifically on drying processes of paddy for a high grade
dried palay in a shorter period of time. It uses infrared ceramic heater as a source of heat. This dryer can
also be used as a dryer of coco coir and other products such as sweet potato, grapes etc. in case paddy
is not available due to off season. The efficiency and flexibility while maintaining durability of the design
were observed to obtained results in accordance with standard moisture content loss of rice for storage
(2014).
Design Project: Design of Centralized Air-Conditioning System for a Twenty Story Office Building
(Cooling load calculations, equipment selection (chiller, air handling unit, fan coil unit and etc.), piping
design, ducting design. And as a member I was able to do cooling load in other floors, piping layout and
equipment selection for chiller, pumps and air-handling unit (2014).
Design Project: Diesel Industrial Power Plant
It is a group design of an industrial plant where we studied how the plant produces its products, how it
works, we also made calculations and assumptions on the utilities of the plants such as, water supply, fire
protection, water waste treatment facility, air conditioning, Diesel Engine Generator and etc. based on
codes and standards. As a member of the group I made calculations and assumptions on water supply
(2014).
Design Project: Design of 26,000 kW Steam Power Plant
It is an individual design of a coal fired steam power plant where I studied the components of the power
plant, how it works and analyzed its performance in generating power. I made computations, assumptions
in the design of the components of the steam power plant based on codes and standards (2014).
Design Project: Power Transmission Design
It is a project design in our subject Machine Design. This design involves design computation in shafting,
bearings, pulleys, belt, clutches and many mechanical parts. I also studied the codes and standards used
in designing those parts. Also I studied what is the function of each part and analyzed its performance
(2012).

demonstrate the following student acquired outcomes (knowledge, skills, and attitudes) necessary to the
practice of engineering profession:
• Analyze complex problems and identify and define the engineering requirements appropriate for
solutions.
• Use modern techniques, skills, and tools of the engineering practice in complex computing activities.
• Understand professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities relevant to
professional engineering practice.
