Description:

The International Production (IP) is a pharmaceutical project which

is supporting around 75 countries all over the world. It is a 24X7

production Environment based on Onsite - Offshore methodology and

maintenance of application running on IMS Mainframe system. The main

objective of the project is to provide the maintenance MVS applications

which includes first call production Support, Resolving Client issues,

providing permanent Fixes for production problems and carry out minor

enhancements. As IP is Pharmaceutical Project, Data Accuracy is primary

concern which includes Hospital information, Drug Price updating etc.

TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT

OS/390, CA ESP Workstation, CA-7, JCL, VSAM, COBOL, REXX, SDSF, TSO/ISPF,

Beta92, File-Aid, Endeavor, AIS, QMS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES

. Gathering the requirements from the clients accordingly schedule &

monitor the Batch jobs.

. Modify the batch as per the client requirement

. Perform Batch operations like Rerun, f/c, w/d, Bypass, resource

. Escalation of issues within QMS (incident tracking tool) to

appropriate team

. Working directly with client and other teams to meet the SLA's

. Analyzing modifications, finding affected list of jobs to provide the

permanent fixes according to the client requirement.

. Documenting and coordinating project activities for internal knowledge

base

. Code Batch job flow in CA-ESP as per the change management

requirements by clients

. CA-ESP job failure analysis and Abend handling

. Align a call with clients to discuss on improvement area

. CA-ESP multi-operation on batch jobs like Rerun, cancel, force

complete, Hold, release etc.,

. Package processing through Endeavour

. Align daily and weekly call with clients to discuss on production

related issues.

. Handling Ad-Hoc Requests

. Making changes on JCL Coding as per the requirement.

. Preparing the Weekly report to lead for review in client call
