cost in Eastern Region in 2009. Supervised daily activities of 16 union utility associates including coordinating

payroll and scheduling. Under my supervision, Marriott Associate Opinion Survey score increased from 64 to

86 on 100-point scale. Planned daily cafeteria menus in associate cafeteria serving 250 associates. Introduced a

20-day concierge menu emphasizing quality while keeping cost in line.

Worked with Corporate to launch new property. In charge of all purchasing responsibilities for start-up hotel.

During tenure, Food & Beverage cost was consistently below budget with food cost averaging at 29% and

beverage cost at 20%. Supervised food storeroom attendants to ensure proper storage and sanitation procedures

to minimize food loss. Assisted in kitchen food operations.

MARRIOTT DISTRIBUTION SERVICES, Edison, NJ 05/1995-10/2001

Director of Inventory Management

Managed five Inventory Managers and 9000 line items in two warehouses. Personally responsible for

purchasing 1200 perishable /center of plate items while maintaining a 99.7% service level. Worked closely with

Operations to balance inbound/outbound in busiest warehouse in company. Worked with Transportation to

increase backhaul revenue 62% in 5-year period. Negotiated vendor pricing with non-Marriott vendors. Acted

as interim Quality Control Manager for 10 months in addition to regular duties. Inspected code dates, ensured

inventory was properly rotated.
