Dear Concinnity Group,

I am writing to express my interest in your current opening for Hydraulic Test Engineer. I am pursuing

a MS in Mechanical Engineering at University of Texas at Arlington. I am especially interested in this

position because I deeply believe in empowering people individual with tools and resources to

accomplish their goals.

I have worked as a Maintenance Engineer for the Plant and Engineering division of Punj Lloyd

Limited, India. I was selected for Punj Lloyd Limited from a university recruitment drive where they

hired 3 candidates from a pool of 409 applicants after a 4 stage interview. I was trained at their Central

Workshop Facility where in depth training on maintenance of construction equipment was imparted. A

major part of our training focused on taking care of the earthmoving equipment and maintaining their

engines and hydraulic lines. In hand experience on operation of backhoe loader, excavators, hydraulic

cranes, hydraulic hoist along with overhauling of their engines, motor, pumps and transmission drive

was a part of the training project over a span of 6 months.

From there, I was posted to Kolkata where we acquired Rupees 770 Crore (USD $124.8 million)

project for the construction three state civil hospitals and medical colleges. Based on my performance

during my training, I was appointed as the technical lead of Plant and Equipment Cell on my first site

project. Along with maintenance duties of the construction equipment, I was assigned to manage a

team of 22 skilled and semi-skilled workers on day to day basis. I checked daily logs and was

responsible for managing funds for maintenance and prototype acquiring purpose. During the next one

and half years, our team’s record for losses due to breakdown hours was comprehensibly lesser than

PLL standards.

After a successful stint at Punj Lloyd, I decided to change my domain to the field of academia as I felt

a compelling necessity to hone my technical knowledge before plunging back into the corporate again.

In order to do so, I joined a privately owned engineering college, NITS Mirza in Assam, India. I was

initially recruited for teaching the subjects of Computational Fluid Dynamics and Numerical Methods

to the undergraduate students of Mechanical Engineering with average class strength of 60 students.

With the expansion of the university, I was later assigned with technical projects, the first of which

was to build a rapid assembly motor operated raft to tackle flash flood in high Indian river currents.

After completing that project in three months, I, along with a team of 2 professors and 9 students,

designed a client project of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. The UAV project was also successfully put

to implementation on 2014.

My next venture was working in the Fablab of University of Texas at Arlington. My duty at Fablab

was to maintain and train university students and guests alike on equipment such as 3D printers, vinyl

cutters, laser cutters, CNC milling machine and Oculus pro. I also systemized the inventory of the

newly set up Fablab.

Enclosed is my resume which further highlights my technical skills and experience. I look forward to

meet and discuss with you about my interest and qualification for this position. Thank you for your

time and I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely

Anurag Dey
