Rypos Inc, Advanced Diesel Emission Control Systems Holliston, MA

• Responsible for manufacturing engineering and production functions for the facility, managed a staff of 6

p rofessional and up to 30 technical personnel. Perform key responsibilities including day to day supervision

of employees, production planning and scheduling, establishing and achieving Manufacturing goals and

objectives, focus on continuous improvement, cost reduction, and high quality output from the

M anufacturing team. Additionally, documenting Assembly and test operations, implementing and

maintaining fixturing and other assembly and test related tools, provide support to external sub-contract

M anufacturing Operations.

• Major accomplishment: Rypos has been t ransformed from a start-up manual assembly company into a full

p roduction scale lean operation. Successfully implemented Lean Manufacturing concepts by improving

t hroughput by 65%. Increased the production capacity to support sales growth from 8MM to 17 MM without

adding major capital equipment.

• Led the effort to implement the necessary Health, Safety and Environmental procedures to meet

• Responsible for manufacturing engineering and product engineering functions for the facility, managed a

staff of 14 professional and technical personnel.

• Manage large-capital projects totaling $10.5 MM in 2006 and $7.5 MM in 2007.

• Introduced state-of-the-art fully automated assembly line, a first for Cummins Filtration. Managed from

concept to full implementation a fully automated 6.2MM filter assembly line.

• Project Management over installation of new $4.2 MM meltblown plastic extrusion processes to produce

stratapore filt ration laminated mesh.

P roduct Line Manager 1999-2004

Cummins Filtration, Kuss Corporation Findlay, OH

• Responsible for designing, implementing, and improving paper filtration equipment and processes,

contributing to sales growth from $500,000 to $10 million by 2005. Co-author patented in-tank plastic fuel

f ilter.

• Expe rienced in the use of plastic injection molding used to produce a

v ariety of plastic components for various fuel filters in addition authored two U.S. patents for

u nique plastic pa rts.

• Developed f lame-heating technology for embedded paper process that cut cycle t ime from 15 seconds to 1,

leading to authorship of 3 U.S. patents and 1 pending patent.

• Designed new equipment for embedded process and quoted and designed new products for the paper line.

Responsible for installation of four highly automated in-tank filter assembly lines.

polyurethane radial seal air filter.
