personal computers, tablets, game consoles and cloud servers that define the new era of surround computing.

AMD Channel Sales Representative

Represented Advanced Micro Devices’ (AMD) product families in Canada and USA to system builder, etailer, VAR, and

embedded customers.

Grew Amazon.com etail business from $0 in 2008 to over $10M per year in 2014 for AMD MPU business. Grew graphics

business from 30ku per year in 2009 to 35ku per quarter in 2014.

Grew AMD graphics share considerably in Canada and Pacific NW USA from single digit share in 2009 to over 45% share

in 2013 and 2014 with key accounts in etail such as Amazon.com, NCIX.com, Canada Computers and Memory Express.

Collaborated with Future Shop/Best Buy to grow their etail share in the component segments particularly graphics and

desktop processors. Introduced partner relationships with Supercom for other complimentary products such as motherboards,

chassis, power supplies.

Managed AMD distributors for the past three years, setting targets, creating and supporting programs and incentives, and

ensure ample supply of product for reseller markets.

Achieved very strong working relationships with key industry manufacturers such as ASUS, XFX, Gigabyte, Samsung,

Sapphire, and Supermicro.

Created and promoted bundle opportunities with AMD products and other complimentary vendors for best value and

customer experience, which were promoted by customers via their websites, social media and in-store.

Grew each product segment to become a key component of sales mix on a quarterly basis where each of the three segments

valued $2M/Q for a strong balance to contribution margin.

Succeeded in embedded design wins with market leaders such as F5 Networks, Philips Medical, Radisys Corporation, Cray

and Fortinet.

Managed customer relationships from ground level through to executive management levels to secure continuous business

and growth levels.

Davetek Marketing Inc. - Burnaby, BC 1999–2006

Davetek is one of western Canada’s leading manufacturer’s representatives of high technology components and related

products serving the cutting edge technology industry.

Manufacturer’s Field Sales Representative

Represented Advanced Micro Devices’ (AMD) product families in Western Canada region to system builder,

etailer and VAR communities.

Increased sales from $1 million/quarter to $5.5 million/quarter while combating consolidation, competitive

pressures and shrinking markets.

Average Sale Price increased from a low of $84 to a high of $155 by working with key accounts to improve the

mixture of AMD product that was sold through.

Worked closely with System Builder accounts and their end users, such as school boards, universities to present

AMD’s value and positioning in order to secure design wins at UBC, SFU, UofA, Richmond SB, Calgary Public SB, and

BC Provincial Gov’t.

Promoted several key accounts to Platinum partner category and promoted several others to new partner categories,

which increased the accounts’ visibility within AMD and within their own marketplaces.

Provided Athlon 64, Opteron, and Sempron product roadmap and sales presentations for both customer and

distributors within my region on a regular basis. This covered desktop, server and mobile segments.

Achieved very strong working relationships with key accounts and with their key executives within Western

Canada.

Submitted account reviews, forecasts, and feedback to AMD, consistently on time and according to initial request.

Received two awards, Crystal Wafer Award and Outstanding Achievement Award from AMD for

customer involvement in Reseller Seminar Series.

White Knight Distributing - Richmond, BC 1996–1999

White Knight was a national distributor of brand name computer components and products to the reseller and VAR market.

National Sales Manager

Managed four sales offices and a total of 20 sales representatives, which distributed computer components and

systems throughout Canada.

Maintained sales staff in all locations, providing them with monthly sales and gross profit goals.

Increased national sales from $20 million year to $30 million year over this time while approving few net term

accounts. Resulted in good cash flow and very little bad debt.

Competed well with Canadian mid tier distributors such as Elco Systems, Peripheral Express, Empac, Samtack,

Daiwa and McKinnon Micro. Many of these distributors downsized or went bankrupt.

Developed relationships with manufacturers such as AMD, Cyrix, Intel, Gigabyte, Fujitsu, and Western Digital.

Created weekly promotions for system builder community on strategic products to increase sales and deliver

promised unit and revenue growth to individual manufacturers.
