CIVILIAN EXPERIENCE

Desktop Support Technician

Responsible for managing incoming technical requests by answering phone queues and resolving

or assigning tickets efficiently and in a timely manner. Respond to ticket requests, where

appropriate, by email or phone to update end-user on status of ticket. Support internal users on Windows

7 environments with Bomgar support console. Interact with Technical Operations team to address and

resolve day-to-day issues. Help to build and deploy IT infrastructure (e.g. workstations). Manage various

tickets from SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), SAP ( Systems, Applications and Products in

Data Processing), Networking, Java, Flash, Internet Explorer, and Windows OS problems. Responsible

for assisting users with installing and configuring multiple Mobility applications including Airwatch and

7th Signal Center South Theater Network Operations Security Center

Fort Gordon, GA

Responsible for managing and maintaining the Active Directory for the Center Regional Computer

Emergency Response Team - South, and Apiay Columbia networks. Created user and group accounts,

administered operating system patches/upgrades, and configured and replaced servers. Responsible for

the proper care, service, and inventory of all computers and servers in the Operations Center.

Successfully created and administered a Network Plus boot camp. Served as part of the desktop support

team and helped to upgrade over 130 workstations from Windows XP to Windows Vista. Was personally

selected to support the Army South Panamax 2009 mission. Responsibilities for this mission included

installing and configuring Intrusion Detection Systems, setting up a network and user accounts for the

29th Infantry Division, and basic overall computer support. Managed server farms by troubleshooting

Active Directory, Email (Exchange), File & Print, SCCM, and Firewall servers.

April 2008 – May 2009

Automated Data Processing and Equipment/Information Operation Team Chief

581st Signal Company, 54th Signal Battalion, 160th Signal Brigade

Responsible for base lining and reimaging numerous desktops and laptops for Joint Forces soldiers

deploying to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. Setup and maintained an internal LAN to support the

Headquarters Unit in Kuwait. Managed and maintained Active Directory user and group accounts for the

transitioning units. Based upon my knowledge and technical expertise, I was chosen to serve as the

concise briefing for the Information Technology section of incoming units on their responsibilities and the

policies of the Technical Control Facility. As the Communications Security hand receipt holder, I was

responsible for maintaining and distributing Communications Security during key updates.

C Company, 551st Signal Battalion, 15th Signal Brigade

Responsible for training, morale, discipline, health and welfare of numerous soldiers. As the instructor of

new incoming students I was responsible for communicating the proper information required for students

to pass the recommended courses. Assisted the First Sergeant in maintaining records and training for over

400 soldiers, scheduled classes for Advanced Individual Training students, managed operations orders

passed down from higher headquarters and amended them to match the Company mission.

January 2006 – September 2007

Developed, maintained and updated Signal Soldier series course material to ensure soldiers were properly

trained. Conducted examinations, evaluations, and ensured training was up to military standards for

awarding five Signal military occupational specialty. When soldiers did not meet the requirements, I was

responsible for coaching and counseling them on their academic performance. I would come in early or

stay late to assist the soldiers who needed additional instruction. During my tenure as an instructor I was

instrumental in a 10% increase of students who passed the exams.

September – December 2005

Senior Information Systems Operator/Maintainer

Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1-7 Cavalry Battalion, 1st Brigade

As the Signal Platoon Sergeant in charge of 20 soldiers, I counseled, trained and served as leader for all

soldiers in the platoon. Served as the battalion computer system administrator in charge of administering

software, configuring and installing hardware, and updating hand receipts for computer parts. Installed,

operated and performed battalion level maintenance on information systems and peripheral equipment.

Performed analysis on computer systems whenever a virus, malfunction, or nonoperational equipment

was found.

August 2001 – August 2005
