Project Description:

The SAP Product Lifecycle Management (SAP PLM) web based application provides a 360-degree-support to process

and manufacturing industries – from the first product idea, through manufacturing to product service. SAP PLM

Recipe Management is one such solution that caters to various process industries by providing applications to create

and manage the master data.

Responsibilities:

• Performed functional, user acceptance and regression testing of several web based applications of SAP PLM

and PLM Recipe Management.

• Implemented diverse testing strategies such as message class testing, customized based testing, pair testing,

exploratory testing that yielded quality defects which helped improve the quality of the product.

• Reported maximum number of defects using some of the methodologies of exploratory testing in PLM RM

applications during the SAT phase. Presented methodologies in the entire organization which led to subsequent

adoption in standardized testing.

• Created and executed functional test cases and evaluated results to ensure accuracy and quality of the product.

• Created and Updated Test plans (including estimating and maintaining a testing schedule), bug documentation

and bug tracking.

• Developed automated test scripts using tools like ECATT and QTP. Mentored different groups on these tools.

• Automated testing of multiple releases of an application. Developed a structured design approach which

improved the efficiency of regression testing.

• Led the communication with developers to resolve defects and coordinated meetings for smooth transition

between development and testing team.

• Played a key role in knowledge transfer for a team of eight by conducting information sessions and providing

continuous functional and technical support to the team.

• Developed and implemented a process that helped in time reduction of 40% during automated regression

testing. Addressed several elements such as database impacts, software scenarios, negative testing, error/bug
