Synopsis:

. Symantec is a global giant in security, backup and availability

solutions,

which requires a 24X5 support & 24X7 support during quarter end.

. HP provides platinum level support to Symantec's ERP application,

hence its important that all the issue are fixed within the agreed

SLA.

. Helped the client adhere to SOX & PCI Compliance by following the

standard processes & by mitigating the vulnerabilities in the ERP

system.

Roles & Responsibilities:

. My role would be to provide technical support on the issues related

to transactions, interfaces mainly on Finance & SCM Modules.

. To troubleshoot the issues with an action plan related to

OPA,AR,AP,OM.

. Triaging and analyzing application data and upstream/downstream

integration issues.

. Coordinate and work with vendors for third Party application issues

(such as SFDC, Workday,Sabrix,Streamserve etc).

. Test various scenarios that could have potentially caused the

problem.

. Development of new Interfaces to add additional functionality, that

does not already exist to simplify the business process.

. To work proactively with the business users to identify the exact

issue & to perform tests on non-production instances/UAT testing to

reproduce the issue.

. To identifying the root cause & to implement a code fix or data, may

even involve taking help from Oracle for issues whose complex errors

doesn't fit the known errors, may even need a patch to be applied.

. Drive the high priority SEV 1 & SEV 2 issues independently from the

ERP side with all the dependent stakeholders, cross functional teams,

involve them when needed - Unix, Windows, DBA, network, firewall and

Storage teams and update Business users on regular intervals.

. React to any given technical situation that requires immediate

attention.

. To provide critical support during QEs (Quarter Ends) for potential

revenue impacting issues that need to be fixed ASAP.

. To adhere to SOX,PCI audits when dealing with Change Requests as

audits are performed every quarter.

Out-bound Interfaces:

. Worked on issues related to outbound interfaces from OPA to FF PSA

(Salesforce) via EAI (Tibco) on Project Sync,Funding,Funding

History,

Billing Invoices,Revenue Events & Expense Outbound.

In-bound Interfaces:

. Worked on issues related to inbound interfaces from FF PSA

(Salesforce) to OPA on Timecards, Billing Events & Expense Inbound.

Out-bound Interfaces:

. Extraction of the data from the database to the flat file using

Conversions:

necessary validations using plsql on the staging table,then loading

data into interface tables & then based on validations into base

tables.

Reports:

. Modification of existing RDF Reports to fix any reporting issue &

discrepancies.

. Use XML Publisher to create reports, creating data definitions &

templates.

Siebel CRM:

. Creation Analyses, Segment trees, List Formats across different

Subject Areas using Siebel CRM.
