Creative Process and Work Flow

Nicole's creative process involves: structuring a clear process and project scope from concept to launch along with constructive team management and supportive leadership; steering the overall branding and collateral direction by applying a consistent visual solution that allows for adaptability and evolution; researching and understanding current standards and trends and how all components, technologies and assets may interact with one another; A multi-platform approach so that layout, design, functionality, usability and overall experience is optimal per platform

Preliminary Phase - Prospect Negotiations and Client Communications

This phase involves direct communication and correspondence with the prospect to learn about their objectives and goals and therefore how to formulate the best solution. During this stage it's essential to build a relationship and credibility by establishing clarity, communication and trust so that the prospect feels assured that the parameters, purpose and tone of the project are understood. Cultivating good chemistry, demonstrating skill and displaying enthusiasm are instrumental in delivering a solid scope and project pitch.

Phase 1 - Discovery

Once the project is officially underway, the 'Discovery Phase' is kicked off which involves documenting the requirements and parameters including: the time line and milestones, required resources, available assets, budget allocations, key points of contacts, communication procedures and any other critical instructions.

Researching the particular industry and trends, demographics, the client's current position in the market and other influential factors are crucial in order to evaluate and establish effective branding, messaging and tone, functionality and usability.

Consultation and collaboration with the client may involve a series of worksheets and resources that break down the Discovery Phase in to tangible steps that capture and document the content, assets, guidelines and requests.

Ultimately in conclusion of this phase all final assets are prepared and submitted, wireframes are mapped out and the final compositions have been officially approved by the client and all internal teams.

Phase 2 – Design and Development

At this point in the timeline the design and development phase is underway. Depending on the platform/framework being used and how sophisticated or simple the required functionality is, procedures can vary but the general process involves:

- Back End Development: Installation and construction of the back end structure and framework flow. This involves testing the general functional experience on a live platform before integrating the frontend components.

- Front End Development: Live HTML/CSS layout of all page templates and optimized graphics, which typically includes the home page and any/all secondary page template layouts.

Phase 3 - Q&A / Testing

A thorough testing and walk through all functionality and user-experiences on all platforms.

Phase 4 - Final Launch

Per the client's approval and any outstanding revisions or updates, the project moves in to final launch after which the full Q&A testing sequence is repeated.

Phase 5 - Follow Up and Future Growth

With the goal of building long term relationships, clients are offered ongoing incentives and supplemental services including maintenance, updates, advertisement campaigns, social media marketing and SEO plans.
