Started as assistant technician, I was
promoted as aircraft mechanic in 2009
when I obtained my B1 Aircraft maintenance
engineer license.
My duties were,
Assist LAEs in carrying out maintenance
tasks
Perform, record and sign for all work
performed on aircraft, engines, components and equipment
according to approved data, organization
procedures and standards and as in any contract and
work orders in place.
Record work performed and necessary
information on IT system as per user manual when
required
Ensure that, over and above specifically
allocated tasks on aircraft, at all times look for and record
and timely rectify defects found within the
aircraft allocated maintenance downtime
Ensure that aircraft defects are fixed at
the earliest opportunity and within the available downtime
Comply with all airport policies,
regulations and procedures.
Keep current with approved data,
organization procedures, standards and regulatory
requirements
Report to LAE/Team Leader any doubtful or
unusual condition as required by applicable work
instructions
Ensure good general working practices:
working with the appropriate serviceable tools and
equipment; cleanliness of premises,
equipment, work areas and surroundings; proper usage of
company assets, etc
Report to quality assurance any maintenance
error and human factor related event as required in
work instruction manual
