Company Profile: S.D. Welding and fabrication is centrally located in Red Deer, Alberta. Work Experience:

Evraz North America, Red Deer, A.B. 2014-present

Worked all mill shutdowns fabricating and repairing various components. High carbon wear plates, grey cast iron water heads, preheat and post heat application to pressure assemblies. Pressure work using various GTAW roots and filler metals, wire feed process GMAW/FCAW and solid wire for cosmetic, low distortion applications. My duties also include electrical, mechanical and millwright work.

Kiewit Energy, Fort McKay, A.B. 2014

My position at Kiewit required fluent print interpretation, seasoned material identification knowledge and excellent communication skills, it included training on 5JLG models, was mainly pile cap work from 10"-36", cut, level, shim, weld and splice. installation of back rings and fit-up pile splices, welded out in position (horizontal). Weld specs with 1mm tolerance 1/4-3/4 multipass, all position welds. Cap and pile preheats under QC supervision. X-ray and UT testing on all welds.

Bilton Manufacturing, Innisfail, A.B. 2011-2012

Duties included: Print interpretation, fabrication of 700 barrel to 10,000 barrel tanks, use of spray transfer, use of 20 ton overhead cranes for complicated maneuvers to move structures safely, as well as loaders, genies and any other necessary equipment to complete projects, all work at this job met Alberta’s highest quality control standards.

X-treme Energy, Innisfail, A.B. 2007-2011

Completed entire Alberta Apprenticeship Program, satisfying all 3 periods of education and hourly requirements.

First year duties: Basic cosmetic welding of grading, various HSS railing designs, as well as thin gauge, mild steel cabinets.

Second year duties; Complete construction of mud tanks, water tanks, sub-structures, fabrication of various pulley, winch and drainage systems, using all necessary equipment to complete projects efficiently while meeting increasing standards of quality on time.

Third year duties: Complete construction of warm climate doubles, heavy duty triples, including hydraulic walking systems, fabrication of crown, derrick, and various oil and gas rig components using a broad spectrum of complicated alloys. Leading small crew as a project leader, carrying responsibility for quality, completion and on job training.
