Responsibilities

Giving written assignments to STNAs, ensuring that said STNAs completed assignments, including, but not

limited to: cleaning of residents' room, check and changes, ensuring our residents remained dignified in their

apparel and care, ensuring safety and state precautions were followed at all times,etc. Medication pass on

time and in compliance with state in distribution and the 5 Rights of medication pass: right time person route

drug dosage.

Accomplishments

Established a relationship with my residents family and my residents to the point where they trust my care and

know I am going to fight for them. I made an impact on my fellow nurses in the way that they know when I'm

there we will work together as a team to ensure our resident's are taken care of.

Skills Used

The use of computerized mar and the knowledge to work a computer outside of the daily routine. Show

shortcuts to others to promote time management as well as learn a few shortcuts from other nurses when

using the computer for documentation.

I cared for patients 3 days post op CABG, knee replacement, trach care, G tube placement and peg tube, GI

conditions, respiratory conditions, such as, COPD, lung CA, Psych and behavioral.

My supervisors stated I am a diligent worker and team player. I make sure my work is completed to the fullest

and try not to pass my work onto other employees

Skills Used

Efficient knowledge of computerized documentation, ability to perform different nursing task such as suctioning,

continuous tube feed runing, reinsertion of gtube, proper protocol for using sbar before sending resident to

hospital

LPN CHARGE NURSE

Responsibilities

This facility is mainly psych facility. I worked with resident who have alzheimers, dementia, behavioral problems

such as schizophrenia, bipolar, MRDD, depression. My main job description at work, besides medication pass,

was to ensure resident's safety to themselves and others, that medication was used effectively in according to

resident's illness and lab results corresponded. To assist my STNA's with combative residents, providing them

with a safe environment as well as our resident's. To keep a clean environment and to follow state regulations

in regards to medication pass and any restraints necessary both medical and physical.

Accomplishments

My chosen field of study is psych. In this environment, I managed to get hands on experience with my chosen

field, and first hand experience with different types of people dealing with psychological issues.

Skills Used

The ability to time manage and demonstrate that with the correct medication and time and effort an environment

can be safe, proactive, and beneficial to resident's, family, and staff as long as the proper care was given. I

also improved in documentation, due to the documentation that was necessary by state for a psych facility.
