Charity/Volunteer Service
I volunteer for the annual crab feast for the Wicomico County Republican
Party (WCRC). I research and obtain silent auction items from sponsors for
the crab feast to raise funds for the WCRC. I design the fliers that go out
for advertisement, I arrange for volunteers to help, and manage the auction
the day of the event. I am also the Treasurer. As the Treasurer, I am also in
charge of monitoring and supplying all the reports related to all the events
the WCRC arranges during the year; this includes during the election years.
My finance books go through yearly audits which I am proud to say have
had excellent results. (2011 - current)
I volunteered to be on an events committee at a country club I use to be a
member of. All of us as a team would come up with the theme for an event.
I was in charge of designing the fliers and posters for advertisement.
(2005 - 2007)
I would volunteer at a church every year for the homeless. We would open
up the church for one week for the homeless to have a place for them to
sleep; we would provide them with a meal at dinner time and a breakfast
meal. I was amazed at how greatful everyone was for this simple gesture of
kindness. (2002 - 2010)
I volunteer every month for a Senior Social at my church. We pick up those
who are unable to drive, provide all of them with a nice luncheon, and play
games and cards with them for the afternoon. All the volunteers find this
very rewarding. (2002 - current)
I was very active in rasing funds for the United Way. When I worked at
First Data Merchant Services, we would have a United Way fund drive
every year. I would help with the site event too. (2000 - 2007)
I am in charge of the card ministry at my church. This involves insuring
that cards are sent to all members of our church who need support, who are

perhaps just a thinking of you card or just to wish them a happy birthdays or
an anniversary wish. (2014 - current)
I am charge of our church’s monthly calendar. This allows me to work
directly with the entire church leadership to ensure I capture all events
within the particular month. I then distribute this to the congregation via
email and a hard copy to those who do not have email. I also complete all
advertising including designing fliers for church events to the local public
and media. (2010 - current)
