I am Ibrahim Kandil, around 19 years extensive engineering and

construction experience internationally and achieving the positions as

Panting Supervisor, Superintendent. during my career on various major

infrastructure projects on Oil & Gas Production fields, Overland

Pipelines, Oil & Gas Separation Plants, LNG Plants, LPG Plants, Refineries,

Oil Terminal, Offshore Modules Subsea ( Pipeline within both Onshore and

Offshore environments, Power / Water Desalination stations, Airports etc.

specifications in use ISO, British Gas, NACE and SSPC. Painting and coating

applications using conventional and airless spray equipment. Auditing of

contractor for material, personal, equipment before the commencement of the

job and capability of establishing new painting procedures. Carrying out

surveys for the integrity of Protective coating system. Knowledge of

different types of equipment that are used in blasting & familiar with

polyethylene, polypropylene, fusion bonded epoxy and heat shrink sleeves,

liquid coating, coal tar based tape coating, intumescent and concrete

weight coating application. Maintaining the documentation according to

approved procedures, preparing method statement and inspection test plan

according to client's consultant's specification Awareness of the QA/QC

parameters that are involved in the job such as batch certificates, test

certificates according to the clients / consultants specification.

Details of activities and responsibilities:-

Painting and Insulation:

> Inspection of blasting, coating and holiday test of underground pipe

wrapping.

> Inspection of blasting and painting of aboveground piping and

structural.

> Inspection of internal lining of all types of tanks, vessels and

reservoirs using a variety of linings such as coal tar epoxy, glass

reinforced polyester resins, glass reinforced vinyl resins, glass

flake, graphite flake, epoxy-phonel coatings, glass strand reinforced

epoxy resins, using Barcolimpressor.

> Inspection of insulation of piping and equipment.

> Inspection of fire proofing in structures and skirts.

> Salt contamination test on blasted surface profile readings by Tested

tape and profile thickness gauge.

> Inspection of paints D.F.T and W.F.T.

> Include solvent test, dust test, adhesion test, pull of dooly test and

cross cut test.

> Preparation of painting report and documentation as per project

specification and follow the ISO 9002, including ITP (Inspection Test

Plan) also.

> Trace out the piping lines with isometric drawing and preparation of

the punch list.

> Preparing the work permit (hot and cold) such as live sensitive plant

offshore and onshore.

> Insulation reduces the heat flowing out of your home during the winter

months. Ensuring that your home is properly insulated will help your

save energy when the temperatures drop.

> The amount of insulation that you should install depends upon where

you live. Insulation is measured in R-values, or the resistance to

heat flow. the higher the R-value, the less resistant.

> Withholding water, humidity, and control storage space before put the

insulation in the place itself.

> Clear the equipment body to be very (no dust, no Dew, no Oils, no

grease) it have to be cleared before we put the insulation Layers.

> After insulation Installation it has to be Cohesive and coherent, no

pores no infiltration.

> Painting / coating inspection of steel structural works, pipeline,

pressure vessels.

> Responsible for stage wise and finish painting / coating inspection.

> Undertake QC painting / coating activities in the work place for daily

basis.

> Monitor weather condition for surface preparation and painting /

coating application.

> Prepare "inspection & test plan" (ITP) for specific requirements.

> Hot dip galvanizing coating inspection in galvanizing plant. To check

and monitor all painting / coating related works and ensure all final

products meet in accordance with company procedure, client requirement

and international codes.

> Responsible for incoming coating / painting material inspection and

has to ensure whether these materials suits to meets the requirements

of project specifications. Prepare all necessary QA / QC painting /

coating documents for client's review. Review of calibration status of

testing equipment's and liaison with concern accordingly.

> To undertake test qualifications for spray painters, brush painter's

hydro blasters & abrasive blasters. Well version with Painting

Specification as per client requirements, Manufacturer supplied spec

and others related technical documents to meet the requirement.

> Capable to develop the Painting/Coating and Blasting and other paint

testing Procedure, Familiar with common paint testing system like

holiday test, cross cut test, contamination test, adhesion test etc.
