•Performed the duties of Lead Petty Officer of the Boiler Repair Shop

•Supervised setting safeties, rolling tubes, grinding hand hold plugs, re factoring work, and

water jetting boiler tubes, and maintenance on main condensers

1980 – 1982: US Navy / USS HOEL (DDG 13) Lead Petty Officer AFT Main Fire Room

•Supervised fifteen Junior Boiler Technicians in the operation and prevention maintenance of

all steam and auxiliary equipment in the AFT Main Fire Room

•Performed tests on boiler water, fuel and lubrication oils

•Operated distilling plants, tests and calibrated gauges

•Exercised environmental control procedures to prevent or minimize air pollution and oil spills

•Completed maintenance data forms
