Programmer Analyst III, TDEC (Tennessee Dept. of Environment and Conservation) 2/2012 to 10/2014

• Created a web form that attached pertinent existing data to all samples sent to the TN Department of Health

Laboratories. The form will save hundreds of man hours and greatly reduce errors.

• Created the process and required applications that will allow a regular exchange of data and GIS information

between TDEC’s Division of Water Resources and the U. S. Department of Interior's Office of Surface Mining (OSM).

The data involved with this project relates to OSM's mining permits and WPC permits associated with the run-off from

these operations.

• Currently creating the process and required applications that will allow a regular electronic exchange of water

quality monitoring data between TDEC’s Division of Water Resources and the EPA.

GIS Specialist, FEMA

• Worked as part of a team to rapidly generate accurate maps that provide situational awareness in impacted

areas. Provided maps displaying weather impacts, facility locations, cultural resources, FEMA flood zones, wetland

areas, and other information needed to support disaster management.

• Educated users about GIS hardware and software capabilities, limitations, and output variations.

Geographic Specialist, U. S. Census Bureau

• Created a training presentation for Field Data Collection Automation (FDCA) Small Format Map Production

Training that was used in all fifty-seven Local Census Offices throughout Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.

• Worked closely with county and municipal government liaisons in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia for Local

Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) project.

• Created and shipped over 50,000 Large Format maps to Census personnel throughout Alabama, Florida and

Georgia.

• Designed and implemented new marketing strategy for GIS Department. Contacted over 300 potential clients

• Radically modified and successfully concluded an inherited E-911 project that was substantially behind

• Wrote "The Georgia GIS Initiative for the Georgia Spatial Data Infrastructure: A Strategic Plan" for Georgia

state agency GIS users for 2007-2010.

• Performed extensive research on all available Federal Grant opportunities for GIS in Georgia.

• Compiled extensive survey and comparative analysis of all existing state GIS data clearinghouses in the

United States and recommended models for bringing Georgia into compliance with Geospatial One-Stop Initiative.

• Created a contact list of all state GIS administrators in the U.S. for cultivating relationships with successful

leaders.

GIS Analyst, MARTA (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority)

• Digitally captured all data for every route and created a GIS of all routes, patterns, stops and landmarks

served by MARTA.
