For this role, I was security cleared by the police and her majesty revenue & customs as this project entails working on the old Inland Revenue infrastructures and customs & Excise, which is now known as Her Majesty Revenue & Customs (HMRC). There was a need for security clearance as the role involves access to the United Kingdom’s government policies on revenue & tax and how it affects every citizen of the states. The project involves migrating users account, file application print servers (FAPS) from NT4 to X500 and X500 to Active directory using Quest version 6.0 as the migrating tool, Windows Workstations from NT4 to XP using remote migration tool (RMT) version 12, 14 and 15 as the migrating tool. And also re-configuring users, Microsoft Outlook, More than 110,000 users within the Inland Revenue offices across the United Kingdom were migrated; I was exposed to using some special tools designed by the organization for the migration an example is the remote migrating tools (RMT) version 12, 14 and 15. The project also involves in-depth usage of Active directory i.e. creating new users account in active directory, deleting old users account from active directory.
