Sr. Application Engineer/Lab Manager

I managed multiple first-line OEMs in the US and APAC. Additionally, I managed the

lab, including contractor interface as well as high-volume inventory systems.

Finally, I was responsible for internal training on server manageability firmware.

Created high-value lab environment from a disastrous condition created when prior

lab staff left

Delivered high-quality training to over 100 Intel employees, from content creation

to content delivery

I led an enablement team of account and debug engineers responsible for helping

customers bring vPro workstation designs to market. In this role, I developed

and created the bridge between two Intel groups (PCCG and DCSG).

Kuni Automotive 2007 - 2009

Director of IT

I created the IT department for a billion dollar luxury and lifestyle automotive

group, establishing policies, procedures, service level agreements and technology

roadmaps as well as modernizing network and server infrastructure to current state

of the art while reducing IT operations costs and significantly improving services

Eliminated unscheduled downtime, saving in excess of $6,000,000 in annual revenue

loss

Migrated WAN from 128K links to a wired/wireless fault-tolerant WAN, saving the

company over $200,000 in annual WAN costs while increasing performance over 10x

Created and managed program to update from Microsoft 2003 AD to 2008R2 AD, in the

process straightening out mis-deployed elements (no Sites, every domain controller

was a global catalog server, etc.), creating standard groups and policies, and

concentrating server roles using Hyper-V and Core installs for efficiency and

fault-tolerance

Created a new ground-up dealership technology infrastructure that allowed for quick

I represented networking research scientists to internal and external customers. In

Delivered version 1.0 of the Intel Active Management Technology SDK, managing

groups, delivering the product on-time and under-budget. The first product delivery

was so smooth that Computer Associates gave us two days off out of three budgeted

for initial launch

Authored the second generation ISV Product Requirements Document, managing

requirements gathering across four countries (US, Israel, Taiwan, India) and five

Software Engineering Manager - LAN Access Division

Temporary transfer to the Software Engineering group to manage the final development

and ownership transfer of an Intel configuration and management tool. This six-month

rotation ended up being a permanent transfer as the product remained core for longer

than originally planned. Managed a team of eight software engineers and hired and

trained the Indian maintenance team.

the technical relationship with Dell, Lenovo, and HP for custom software

development.

Negotiated a three-way agreement with Dell, Intel, and the Linux Community which

allowed Intel to become the first Dell supplier to meet Dell's enhanced Linux

collaboration mandate

Primary customer liaison to all Software Product Development Teams in LAN Access

Managed both direct reports and matrixed employees across marketing, engineering,

and validation

OEM Issue Manager - LAN Access Division

Managed the OEM issue and performance lab for Intel's Ethernet division, overseeing

a budget of $500,000 and managing five contractors as they worked with customers to

resolve issues and benchmark network performance.

Reduced lab response times by over 50%, greatly improving OEM relationships.

Created benchmarking protocols, leading to published benchmark results (ZD Labs)

Regularly deployed 300+ client environments in Windows 2000, Novell Netware, Linux
