Senior Accountant (July 2012 – Present)

• Prepare working paper files / financial statements with consolidations for over 30 entities (investment

companies, joint ventures)

• Supervise Jr Accountant and Accounting Clerk; approve AP, do payroll and DAS, file corp tax returns for

holding companies

• Assist VP Finance in organizing and improving the accounting structure of the companies, including

personnel recruitment

REDUX MEDIA INC. / EIRCAN ACCOUNTING SERVICES INC. Eircan is a provider of accounting and

consultancy services. With a full-time mandate on Redux Media Inc, a client in the online media advertising

industry, I was subsequently recruited by Redux Media as Assistant Controller reporting to the VP Finance.

Assistant Controller (June 2009 – July 2012)

• Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements, including month-end entries for two companies

• Prepare and analyze Daily Cash Forecast/Cash Flow Position report for management, make

recommendations on cash outflow

• Participate in annual budget preparation, report on budget versus actual and variances

• Prepare monthly EDC report for receivables and financing report for bank

• Prepare year-end audit working paper files, coordinate the execution of audit requests (external, MRQ

and GST/QST audits)

• Prepare and file monthly GST/QST remittance, maintain fixed asset continuity and depreciation

schedules

Financial Reporting Analyst (January 2009 – March 2009)

• Calculated commission and bonus payouts according to contracts; prepared commission statements

• Updated new agent records, ensured double-payments do not occur

• Mandated to document and create an Accounting Process Manual for Sirius transactions, and to

evaluate and provide recommendations for the Returns and Warranty process

• Compiled, reviewed and analyzed financial data on a monthly basis (margins, pricing, commissions,

price protections) for over 60 product models, prepared monthly accruals, assisted Controller in the

preparation of divisional financial reports

financial reporting

After undertaking a thorough review, restructured returns and warranties process and created an action

plan for implementation, resulting in several efficiencies including reduced losses from returns not

covered by warranty, improved QC, re-negotiation of warranty contracts, improved warranty reporting
