SUMMARY

I am a manufacturing engineer with almost 16 years of experience in high-

capacity heat treat for automotive components. I have a wide range of

expertise in this field, including atmosphere carburizing, vacuum

carburizing, austempering, annealing, and also induction hardening. I have

been in charge of every aspect of capital equipment purchases, from writing

specifications to installation and start-up on the plant floor. I also

excel at troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and cost reductions on

existing heat treat applications.

Purchase new heat treat equipment for all of Nexteer's global

manufacturing facilities. Follow through on all aspects of purchase

including writing specifications, control plans, and FMEA's, and

purchase requisitions. Keep vendors on track to deliver equipment on

time. Coordinate installation with skilled trades and plant

operations. Start-up and debug equipment and provide training to

operators and skilled-trades.

Keep legacy heat treat equipment up to date by coordinating upgrades

to equipment and controls systems in order to maintain CQI-9 heat

treat standards, as well as improve quality and safety.

Troubleshoot problems in the heat treat areas and lead continuous

improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, reduce

cost, and improve safety.
