Engaged with Fiji National University, Namaka Campus with their Building and Maintenance

Projects to deliver a safe effective construction/maintenance/design company with strong values

in providing quality projects. Responsibility includes:

Position and clamp components for welding.

Fabricates anode fixtures and prototype plating.

Operates hand and power tools effectively.

Measures welding components using templates and ruler.

Utilizes both arc and gas welding processes for welding.

Performs thermal cutting, grinding, soldering and heat plating operations.

Develops work instructions based on specifications.

Selects materials and equipment required for welding.

Ensures that the welds meet tolerance, quality and other requirements. Maintaines

workplace clean and organized.

Inspects completed welds for any cracks and defects.

Maintains records of daily work undertakes including welding maintenance and repairs.

Reports equipment maintenance problems to Supervisor.

Supervises and assigns works to less experienced welders as needed.

Evaluates completed welds as per specifications.

2010 2013

Engaged with the Project Management Unit for Water Authority of Fiji with their various Projects

along the Kings Highway laying of 600mm ductile iron cement pipe main, laying of 250mm pipe

line.

2007 2010

Apprentice at Fiji Sugar Corporation whereby i was exposed to and responsible for duties such as

applying safe working practices, use and operating hand tools, understanding and following

technical drawings,planning and undertaking complete activity,mechanical cutting and advance

manual thermal cutting shaping and gouging, assembling fabricated components,

fabrication,forging,welding,sheetmetal working,moulding,pattern making,structural steel erection

and metal finishing. I also learned how to maintain and use manual metal arc welders, gas metal

arc welders, gas tungsten arc welding,oxyacetylene welders and angle grinders. Also learnt Tig

Welding, Stick Welding and Mig Welding and all its applications .
