Career Objective

To be employed with a well established firm as a technician working in a challenging atmosphere with computer hardware, electro mechanical or solid state devices. Preferably in an R&D; or production environment.I have a high degree of mechanical aptitude and problem solving ability and a very good understanding of electronics and all associated testing equipment. I also have an extensive background, and an excellent understanding, of a wide variety of production, fabrication, manufacturing and testing processes.I have also had advanced training and experience in SPC,GDT,R&R Gage and in Design Of Experiments.

Experience

In addition to positions listed below I have also worked a number of short term contract and part time positions. In the past year and in between past contract positions I have worked primarily with JD Interiors/Exteriors, Bloominghton Mn. part time or as needed, I have also recently worked short term contracts as an electronic/engineering technician at Thermo King Corp/Ingersoll Rand in Bloomington, Mn. and at Cummins Power Generation in Fridley, Mn. Tenant Co September 2013 to December 2013 R & D Test Technician Golden Valley,MN

● Performing tests supporting new and and existing products at their Innovation Center located at their headquarters in Golden Valley, Mn.

● Apply Strain Gauges, Pressure Transducers, Thermocouples, Flow Sensors,Load Cells and other instrumentation.

● Assembly and repair of new and existing test fixtures. Maintained accurate test records in order to maintain and improve current test processes and test quality.

Goodrich Corp. - Aeronautics September 2011 to April 2012 Engineering Technician Burnsville, MN

● Wind Tunnel testing and calibration on sensing devices manufactured here, for both domestic carriers and defense contractors.(Boeing 787’s, Airbus A 380’s and Lockheed Martin F 22 Raptor’s)

● Products under test were primarily ICD Sensors and Angle of Attack Pitots.

● Set up, monitoring, and testing products using wind tunnels at various airspeeds, angles and temperature \ precipitation conditions, then calibrating devices after running data collected thru specific software calibration programs.

● Primary duties included testing and fabrication of recently developed, and under development air filtration devices in the Air Filtration Research & Development Division.

● Testing consisted of primarily air flow restriction (using a manometer) and measurement of particulate contaminates, and documentation of all results and ambient conditions.

● Responsible for running physical properties tests and documentation of test results on an assortment of the medical products manufactured.

● Responsible for production, set up, and testing of their main product (Digital Optical Fingerprint Scanners, for law enforcement identification)

● This included assembly and testing of the hardware in sub assemblies, configuration of sub assemblies and final testing of the completed units.

● Accountable for the set up and modification of the laser printers used in these applications, setting up menu configurations, installing memory and modifications for their software applications, and the mechanical fabrication of modified drives for the different size cards used in this application.

Skills

I have a very high degree of problem solving ability and mechanical aptitude with an excellent understanding of electronics and related troubleshooting techniques.I have worked extensively with Microsoft software and am very familiar with virtually all their applications including many task specific applications.I also have a good working knowledge of Apple and other operating systems.I have also worked a number of short term contract technical positions in both production and testing capacities (descriptions upon request ) in which I've picked up a large variety of experience and skills. I have also had advanced training and experience in SPC,GDT,R&R Gage and in Design Of Experiments.
