Objective

I have recently relocated to the Kansas City area to be closer to family. I am looking for a company that

needs a professional property manager with years of multidimensional experience. I am looking to use

my experience to help enhance your company’s service. I have been working for myself for about 3 years

Summary of Qualifications

I have over 20 years of experience in property management. I have managed multi-unit properties and

individual properties for investors. I have strengths in client relations, negotiating contracts and

budgeting.

Professional Experience

2/2008-9/30/2011

Professional Property Management of Northern Virginia

Property Manager/Team Leader

I was the Leader of a 5 member team. We managed 350+ properties for individual owners. It was my

responsibility to make sure that all services were performed in an excellent and professional manner. I

oversaw a Maintenance Coordinator, Leasing and Marketing Director, Field Inspector, and Office

Manager. My formal duties included: recruiting new owners; recommending needed upgrades;

overseeing all major upgrades and renovations to a property; addressing concerns from owners and

tenants; assessing charges to security deposits; and assisting my team members with their work when

necessary.

I, also, assisted the company owner with any sales. This was not our primary business, but we sold for

long term clients. I helped with many sales, including a $1,000,000 sale of my own.

Investor Manager

I had multiple responsibilities. I managed 229 properties, in Virginia, Maryland, and DC. I managed 180

accounts for individual owners. I was responsible for their houses or condos. I reported to each

individual owner, personally. I was responsible for renting and managing their units; contracting for

turnovers and standard maintenance; and accounting for all their monies. I, also, managed and rented 65

houses for MNCPPC (Maryland National Capital Parks and Planning Commission.) I budgeted yearly for

them, and prepared financial statements, monthly.

I was a site-manager. I prepared all the budgets. I was responsible for employees and contractors. I was

offered a portfolio, but refused it. I had a tough property and needed to devote my time to it.

Account Manager

I began as a desk clerk. I was promoted to an assistant manager position at another property (260 units)

within the portfolio. I transferred back to the original property (190 units) as an assistant manager. I

acted as Building Manager for the first 6 months. I was transferred to a larger property (over 2,000 units)

to be the account manager.
