Description-Econo CNC is a CN C machine design ed and made a t HMT,

Kalamasse ry. This CNC is a low co st CNC w ith po ssib ilitie s of c ustom izing. Our

project was aime d at d esig ning a new offse t drilling a ttachment fo r Econo CNC at a

low co st. Design was made satisfying the working req uirements put forwa rd by

HMT . The new attachmen t makes po ssible p recise o ffset drilling a t low co st for

cu stomers with small scale in dustries.

As a part of m y course, I h ave done an indu stria l projec t at Hindu stan Machine

Tools ltd, Kalamasse ry, Ke rala, wh ich is one of the famous lathe manufacturers of

the c oun try. The projec t was completed in two mon th s whic h gave me a wind ow to

know the industry and also th e re sp onsibilities o f engineerin g profession .
