RESPONSIBILITIES

During my employment at all the facilities and departments listed in this resume, I have

been responsible for all aspects of that department, from the actual testing and quality

control to all the maintenance and troubleshooting of both the equipment and specimen

integrity. There has always been excellent customer service for patients, physicians,

suppliers and coworkers both in person and on the telephone, involving basic questions

of timing to the complex questions of testing mechanics. Most of my laboratory positions

have been on either third or second shift where there are not a lot of other coworkers and

most of the issues are taken care of by myself or the lead tech (when available). There

have been a very few times while working alone where I have had to consult with the

supervisor off duty, but those have been only extreme emergencies. Never in my career

have been afraid to step up when the situation called for it, from Phlebotomy, washing

glassware, running to a nursing home, starting up new testing or a new department plus

writing the SOP for said testing to covering extra shifts when needed. I have always been

a team player to work with others for the benefit of the patients testing but am just as c

omfortable working alone with the same integrity and competence.
