Responsibilities as a production Operator

> Make regular routine checks of all equipment and units to ensure that

they are functioning correctly in accordance with standard operating

procedure.

> Report all equipments and instrument defects and leaks immediately to my

production supervisor and take possible corrective action.

> Check and record in the plant log sheet each and every hour a variety of

reading such as oil and gas flow, temperature and pressure and record

usual occurrences after reporting them to my Production Supervisor.

> Start, check and stop pumps locally according to instructions or in case

of emergency.

> Assist in carrying out the routine weekly run test of equipments like

emergency diesel generator, diesel and electrical fire pumps, etc.

> Check the water/oil interface level in sumps tanks and operate their

pumps locally when they required.

> Participate under instruction in launching pigs into pipelines, prepare

pig receiver stations and remove the pig and check it for damages under

the guidance of the Production Supervisor.

> Unload chemicals into tanks for injections, start and adjust the flow

rate of chemical injection pumps as required.

> Collect oil, gas and water samples and measure that water cut in oil,

salt concentration in the produced water and pass the samples to the

laboratory for analysis.

> To assist the maintenance of production equipment.

> Maintain good house keeping and ensure the satellite is kept clean and

tidy.

> Commissioning

Conducting all Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning activities like

flushing plan preparation, Leak check plan preparation, System flushing

chokes, checking wear on positive chokes and changes them to

optimize production.

> Well equalizing and Well Optimization.

> Periodic checking production, intermediate and surface casing

pressure of individual wells and bleed of the same, observe and

report the outcomes of the casing.

> Choke adjusting, production and test manifold startup and shutdown

procedure, Changing of orifice plate, Inspection and operation of

Christmas tree and flow line Check-up for leaks, Flow line choke

changing.

> Well Testing in Two & Three Phase Separator.

Crude Oil Stabilization Unit

> Start up and Shutdown of Production Separator and Other Units.

> Monitoring of crude stabilization units for its safe operation and

maintaining of specification BS&W and pour point for the processed

crude.

> Separator Line-up & Isolation, Chemical Injection pump Operation &

adjust the Chemical flow rate.

> Controlling the Well stream heater for good separation. Operation

and Maintenance of Manifolds, slug catchers, Surge Tanks,

Separators (Two/Three Phase), Crude transfer pumps, etc.

> Crude Dispatching to the onshore base. Metering oil and pumping

systems. Preparing daily activities reports and checking also.

GAS COMPRESSION & GAS TREATMENT PLANTS:

> Start up, trouble shooting and monitoring of parameters in the gas

treatment & dehydration units such as main gas compressors,

dehydration unit, glycol regeneration unit and NGL

> Maintain the Reboiler temperature.

> Regularly check the PSV by using Nitrogen or Haskell Pump. Taking

and calculating chemical tanks readings. Cleaning and Changing the

Filters like Cartridge and Charcoal.

> Collecting samples like Condensate, Produced Water, Lean and Rich

Glycol.

> Monitoring and Controlling Glycol de-hydration unit, Glycol re-

generation unit and Glycol recovery unit.

Produced water Treating Unit:

* Line up, Start up and Shut down of Produced Water Treatment Unit

Equipment like Produced Water flash vessels and produced water

conditioner.

* Take the produced water sample periodically.

* Adjust the Chemical Rate. Operate skimmer pump and sump caisson

pump manually.

Water Injection Unit:

* Start up and Shutdown the Main Injection Pump.

* Filters Back wash.

* Handle and control the flow rate of Chemicals such as Coagulant,

Scale Inhibitor, Oxygen Scavenger, Defoamer, Bactericide Amine and

Bactericide Aldehyde in Sea water Treatment.

* Different types of filter and strainer cleaning.

* Monitor the Parameters in all water injection units like D O Tower,

Main Injection pump, Booster Pump, coarse filter, fine filter, etc.

Utility Systems
