Oversee the implementation of new system hardware and software and develop operating procedures. Monitor the
ongoing operation of the Local Area Network via multiple operating systems, software and hardware. (Microsoft,
NetWare 6.5, SUSE/Linux OES2, ZenWorks 7, GroupWise 8, Console One, iManager, iMonitor, NetWare Object Search,
NWAdmin, Cisco Switches, Fluke Etherscope II Network Analyzer, Wireshark, Tivoli/BigFix)
Perform remediation or create Corrective Action Plans (CAPS) of vulnerabilities discovered through Tenable Security

Respond to and/or delegate to subordinate staff Help Desk incidents pertaining to network, tech bulletin, desktop,
hardware, peripherals, internet, intranet, web page design or software issues in an effort to maintain a high level of end
user satisfaction and adherence to policy.
Oversee the implementation and administration of the inmate training and career building i-CON system (inmate
Consolidated Network) for inmate re-entry utilizing VMware 5, Wyse Zero Client workstations configured with Windows
7 OS and user management via Active Directory on a virtualized 2008 R2 Windows Server.
Analyze existing hardware and software to ensure maximum life expectancy and continuity of data creation, storage and
retrieval. Submit budget requirements and justifications when hardware has reached it's end of life.
Serve as the Information Security Officer at the institutional level ensuring proper handling of Sensitive Information and
proper encryption procedures utilizing Symantec Endpoint Encryption.
Served as a member of four Information System and Security audit teams evaluating policy compliance and information
security controls.

Provided basic and advanced hardware and software technical support to all departments and users of personal computers.
My expertise was in the following areas: server configuration and administration, desktop configuration and imaging
utilizing ZenWorks 7 and Symantec Ghost, Cisco switch installation and configuration, LAN administration using
Netware 6.5, ZenWorks 7 and GroupWise 6.5, cable management and troubleshooting, workstation hardware
configurations, troubleshooting and debugging approved software to include: DOS programs, WordPerfect, dbase IV
programs, the use and administration of the following operating systems: Windows XP Professional SP2, Windows Server
2003 and Windows 2000. I have been instrumental in the implementation and administration of Novell Cluster Services.
Duties also included providing technical support to data communication users, telephone companies and equipment
vendors. I ensured that the equipment and configurations conform to applicable copyright laws. I was responsible for
training management and staff to use computer programs designed to enhance their ability to perform their duties. I
assisted the Information Security Officer in the proper training and maintenance of Sensitive But Unclassified Information
in the areas of removable media, workstation security, staff, contractors and volunteers. I was instrumental in the
development of Complex wide utilization of network based printing which includes administration of 110 network
printers managed through Novell Distributed Print Services. I developed a Windows XP Professional SP2 image for both
inmate work assignments and Vo-Tech applications which restricts the inmate's ability to access any critical system files,
develop malicious software, or develop computer code/programs but allows for job specific or course related work to be
completed as instructed.
