Resume:

MICHAL HALBERTAL acn2r7@r.postjobfree.com

*** *, ***** ******. ***, New York, 10002 646-***-****

Jan 20, 2015

As an aspiring Speech and Language Pathologist, I currently graduated from Queens College, City

University of New York. I am seeking an opportunity to join your company. Accordingly, I have attached for your

consideration a resume that outlines my qualifications.

Since I was 11 years old I started babysitting, and realized that I had a way with children. My youngest

brother was born with autism, and I saw that I was the only one in my family that really understood his needs. I have

been taking care of him for around 15 years.

Furthermore, I was a head counselor in a summer day camp in 2008, where I took care of 15 children ages 2-

4, changing diapers, and doing arts and crafts, music, physical education as well as dance. We baked as well.

Moreover, as of August 2009 I have been working with a special needs child, who has a language delay, and

communication disorders. I am currently working with his younger brother.I am also working with two 2 year old

twin girls with speech/language, and motor impairments, as well as feeding and swallowing difficulties. I did a lot

of volunteering, such as at a psychology (ABA) lab, Bilingual Biliteracy lab for Speech- Language Pathology,

Queens College chapter NSSLHA bake sales, and at Beth Israel Hospital Pediatric Department, and at the

Walk4Hearing. I also worked last year for HASC in Borough Park, for adults with Down syndrome.

From the 14 years of working with my autistic brother to working with the special needs six year old boy, and

then working with the twins with speech, language, motor, as well as feeding and swallowing disabilities, I realized

that I wanted to pursue my career as a Speech Language Pathologist.I have also been trained in ABA in a lab in Queens

college. I received my undergraduate degree in December of 2011 in Psychology and Communication Sciences and

Disorders. I am also minored in philosophy. I am currently in my second year of Graduate school for my masters in

speech-language pathology. I am goal oriented, I have great people skills and I am excellent at working with children,

as well as special needs children. My creative imagination as well as my love for children, my outgoing nature, and my

enthusiasm, as well as my hard working, and goal oriented nature will allow me to be an excellent Speech-Language

Pathologist.

I am confident that my background and education provide me with the necessary tools to have a significant

positive impact on the education of my future clients. I will enjoy meeting with you in person to discuss how I can

further impact the lives of those children and adults. I want to give back to the world, what the world has given my

brother.

Thank you for your time and interest. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely, Michal Halbertal

. I volunteered at Beth Israel Hospital on 16th street in Manhattan for 6 months. I worked over

one hundred hours there, in the pediatric playroom on the 6th floor Dazian Building. My

responsibilities were to do rounds, go into the patients’ rooms, and ask the patient what he or she

needed. I did arts and crafts with the children, cleaned the toys, and organized the rooms. I also

played with the patients, made them laugh, cheered them up, hooked their IV plugs back into the

walls, and hooked seizure and epileptic patients to video monitors. I worked on relieving their

anxiety when they were being hooked up to the seizure probes, by telling them how good it

would feel for them to see themselves on TV. I worked with seizure patients, epileptics, ICU

patients, autistic and neurologically impaired patients, as well as speech delayed and coma

patients. They ranged from a month old to 21 years of age. I also volunteered at Beth Israel

ambulatory fire drill, by acting as a patient in immediate need. If you would like to call my

employer or supervisor contact Beth Israel on 16th street 1st Ave Volunteers Department :
