rehabilitation of hearing and balance disorders in both the adult and pediatric populations,

including comprehensive audiological evaluation, OAE, infant hearing screenings,

electrophysiological evaluation: ABR (sedated and unsedated), VEMP, central auditory

processing evaluation, vestibular evaluation (VNG).

Treatment options for patients with hearing impairment include counseling, hearing aid

dispensing (all major brand), osseointegrated device implantation, using the Cochlear Baha

product; cochlear implant (Cochlear and Advanced Bionics), tinnitus management.

4th Year Extern in a neurophysiology based audiology department within a level 1 trauma

hospital with an adjoining pediatric hospital. Adult and pediatric populations seen for hearing

evaluations and all other diagnostics: VNG/ENG, Posturography (CDP), ABR (sedated and

unsedated), ECOG, VEMP, VER, CAPT, OAE and Infant hearing screenings. Selection and

dispensing of amplification for both the adult and pediatric populations. Cochlear implant/

BAHA mapping and evaluation.
