WORK EXPERIENCE
February 2009 - SENIOR MERCHANDISING MANAGER, SM RETAIL INC.
September 2014 Developed merchandise assortment for the record bar and gadgets sections in SM
Stores nationwide. Brought in and managed new suppliers to offer new product
lines and brands of gadgets and accessories. Conceptualized and implemented
marketing and merchandising strategies which included product selection and
development, pricing, margin monitoring, integrated marketing communication
(above and below the line) for the department and the products, sales planning and
analysis. Acted as an account manager serving the department’s suppliers which
were the record labels, magazine companies and gadgets distributors. Worked
closely with all support groups which are the Sales Operations Team, Accounting
Department, Store Consignors Administration, IT and Systems Group to handle all
concerns related to the department. Conducted planogram for each store to
observe space productivity. Researched and endorsed new store concepts,
negotiated with suppliers the cost of design and construction of fixtures for new
store openings and renovations. Facilitated all store openings and renovations
nationwide.

October 2008 Supervised the sales operations for Alta Vista De Boracay Leisure Project,
Dansalan Garden Condominiums Mandaluyong, Riverfront Residences Pasig,
Mayfield Park Residences Pasig and Royal Palm Taguig. Handled problematic
customer accounts to achieve higher rate of sales conversion. Maintained a
proactive role in product development by making strategic recommendations with
Project Development, Marketing and Finance Departments in conceptualizing a
product concept, payment scheme, unit mix and layout. Analyzed the project
movements and implemented initiatives such as sellers and buyers incentives,
