Main Project Work : INVESTIGATING SPOT WELD GROWTH ON AL SHEETS & AL

SHEET WITH DISSIMILAR METALS

Description of the project : The project deals with conducting spot weld between Aluminium

sheets and dissimilar joints between Al & Mild steel sheets.The

parameters we considered are weld time, weld force, weld current,

contact resistance, geometry & dimentions, and also welding machine

characteristics. The main objective of this project is to compare the

strength, resistance, hardness & microstructure at the spot welded

region between Similar Al sheets & Dissimilar (Al & Mild steel) sheets

with the help of tests such as tensile, hardness & microstructure tests.

Mini Project Work : HIGH PRESSURE FEED WATER HEATERS (BHEL)

Description of the project : The main objective of this project is to know the importance of High

Pressure Feed Water Heaters in steam turbines and how it increases their

Efficieny by reheating the steam before going to the super heater &

Reducing the fuel consumption rate and increasing the power and load

Generation margin which results in increase in efficiency of the plant.
