extensive experience that I have gained during my 39 years with major manufacturers in the Tool & Die
Industry where I have advanced from Apprentice Machinist to Journeyman Toolmaker, Shop Shift Lead, and
Shop Foreman.
As a hands-on Shop Supervisor/Lead Hand, my responsibilities have included, but not limited to: planning,
scheduling, expediting work flow design, training, general safety, and housekeeping programs. I have assured
compliance to policies and procedures while recommending improvement in production methods, equipment,
and working conditions. I have performed assessments for salaries and recommendations for disciplinary
actions to resolve personnel issues. I have the ability to energize team performance and morale; set
expectations, maintain accountability, and identify, analyze, and eliminate technical problems. I have
coordinated safety teams in meeting for the health and environmental needs of crews and facilities. I have had
26 years in leadership roles during my 39 years in machining. I have also responded to other duties as
required.
Most recently, as a Shift Lead Hand for Shiloh Industries in Jefferson, Georgia, I utilized my proactive-
analytical troubleshooting abilities and was able to create/modify tools, dies, to remove and replace die inserts
and make/do die changeovers for blanking, transferring both hand and robot dies, and progressive and deep
draw dies.
I have also been a Toolmaker/Die Maintenance Technician and Trainer for Clairon Metals, Inc. in Covington,
Georgia, the Masterrack Division of Leggett & Platt in Atlanta, Georgia, and Kingway Materials in Acworth,
Georgia.
