Objective

Family Care Specialist. Worked extensively with families and grief. Was responsible for the
obtaining donor/family authorization for donation throughout the southeast region. Worked
collaboratively with the medical, nursing and other departments as necessary in the planning,
design, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of educational and quality assurance
programs related to donation. Assessed family dynamics and, as appropriate, initiates early
family intervention and support. Functioned as the designated requestor, as appropriate, for the
discussion of organ and tissue donation with the next of kin to secure written authorization as
defined by the hospital policy.
