TRANSFORMATION OF PROCESS UNIT (Borden Chemicals Inc) Using creative engineering and
management brought a vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) plant from over a $500,000 annual loss to over
$2 million annual profit. Solved major safety and environmental problems for the plant by training
engineers and technicians to take control of the plant. Received national recognition as the best
environmental operation of any VCM plant in the United States.
OPTIMIZATION OF RESOURCES (El Dorado Chemicals) As manager of 9 process units at El
Dorado Chemicals implemented a cost savings program. Developed teams to initiate energy and raw
materials optimization resulting in significantly out performing over 40 other similar plants in the US
that ceased production in a 10 year period. Maintenance cost reduced from over $12 million to less
than $8 million annually and saving over $3 million annually through reduced energy and raw
materials optimization.

CAREER HISTORY
Classic Marble and Granite – President of Operations - Jan 2006 to June 2008 A commercial and
residential natural stone fabricator. Increased sales by over 40% and was responsible for sales, client
relationships, quality control, fabrication, installation, safety and environmental. Improved profits and
did all proposals, reviewed and helped make drawings for fabrication and trained craftsmen to do all
of the jobs. Supervised all work activities in the shop and field, helped install cranes, computer
automated equipment and new high tech gantry saws and equipment.
El Dorado Chemicals – Produced concentrated nitric acid, regular nitric acid, sulphuric acid,
ammonium nitrate fertilizer and blasting grades in El Dorado, Ar.
Production Manager - 1996 to 2000 – Managed 84 production operating technicians over all process
units.
Operations Manager – 2000 to 2003 – Managed production and maintenance for all process units –
130 technicians.
Site (Plant) Manager – 2003 to 2006 – Managed all production, maintenance, health, safety,
environmental, capitol projects, budgets, cost control, shipments of over 2000 tons a day, raw
materials, quality control labs, personnel, compliance with all federal, state and local codes. Managed
200 people.
Great Lakes Chemicals – Plant Manager – Sept 1989 to April 1996 - Managed a small bromine
plant producing over 130,000 pounds a day of high purity elemental bromine. Produced the highest
quality bromine at the lowest unit cost of 4 Great Lakes plants. Had the best safety record of any of
the plants going over 5 years without an OSHA recordable accident. Implemented a process safety
management (PSM) system for the plant. Drilled the first Halston deep well injection well for Great
Lakes Chemicals.
