Monteith Building Group Inc. 2010- 2011
General Contractor Project Superintendent
Hired on contract to complete a public School project that fell into multiple problems due to issues
ignored and/or misunderstood by previous Site Superintendent. This project was an addition and
renovation to an existing School. I was required to work with Project Management team to fore fill
all construction needs and repairs. Base building of addition was concrete foundations with
Masonry structure and a steel flat roof. built up multi layer hot roofing and sloped insulation. The
renovation had Asbestos removal and demolition and the reworking of masonry walls for new
classroom layouts. Finally the existing Mechanical rooms were to be relocated to new Addition
with all new tie in to old services trunks.
Selected Projects/Accomplishments;
-James St. Public School Addition and Renovation, Orillia (7.8M)
Retained by company to fix, schedule and identify issues ignored by previous super and work
together with consultants and project management teams to correct them. Their or to many to list
but I am going list a couple major issues and effects they had on the project so as to clarify;
Addition was laid out incorrectly by 4.5” or 110mm. Solution was to build extra concrete foundation
wall to the east to rectify this issue. Following this, three structural exterior and interior walls were
removed that were not scheduled for removal and caused significant structural issues that were
resolved by adding several steel columns and beams.
Was asked to remain after project completion but already had new position with another firm and
had committed to it before offer from MBG.

Atlas Corporation 1994-2001
General Contractor Project Superintendent
Brought on board with this firm to take on the Upper Canada Mall Toys R Us Additions and Interior
Renovations. This project was a very labor intensive project as the existing commercial facility
was to remain in use as the construction process continued. This was an almost 30 million dollar
project and I had to work with two other site superintendents, onsite consultants and inspectors.
Managed numerous factors and challenges on this nearly 30 Million dollar project,
Including working in confined areas, ensure public safety and minimal impact on existing tenants,
overseeing night/weekend/double shifts, coordinating activities with other site superintendents.
Time line and budgets were meet by all teams involved.
