Petrofac was awarded the Alrar Project in 2013. The contract value is more than US$650

million.

Responsibilities

. Create Inquiry Bidders List.

. Issue request for quotations to vendors to procure goods or services

in compliance with the procurement procedures.

. Solicit bids from vendors; coordinate with the discipline engineers to

clarify pre-bid queries from bidders.

. Evaluate the commercial bids and conclude all terms & conditions with

the vendors. Arrange response from vendors for the technical queries.

. Arrange bid clarifications meetings.

. Update and issue Inquiry Status Log, Bid Clarifications Request Log.

. Review vendor responses for compliance with requirements, perform

pricing analysis, and recommend contract awards that result in best

value procurement. Prepare bid tabs. Conduct commercial negotiation

and conclude on techno commercial requirements. Make purchasing

decisions based on specific strategy, need and business policy.

. Conclude the deal and obtain award acceptance form the bidder. Prepare

contract terms, conditions and commercial schedules. Locate and source

with alternate suppliers in case of problems with primary suppliers.

. Transform pre order commitment from vendor into formal purchase order

document. Match the purchase order and forward to the accounts

department for payment. Resolve invoice discrepancies to ensure

accurate accounts payable records are maintained.

. Provide periodic feedback to the vendors.

. Ensure that a clean Purchase Order is secured from successful vendor.

. Communicate what went wrong with an unsuccessful bidder and encourage

for future bidding.

> In addition to the above, supervising and coordinating the Jobs

of three Procurement Engineers and one Graduate Engineer Trainee

in the Present Project.

Achievements

. Total material value of the items procured for the Projects in the

last 5+ years is above 250 Million USD.

. Successful in sourcing alternate vendors, obtaining Client approval

and making significant cost savings.

Work Experience details with M/s ACME International, Kuwait

. Worked as Procurement Engineer with ACME International General Trading

& Contracting Company W.L.L. and responsible for the Procurement &

Trading department.

. Preparing & issuing RFQ for the enquiries for materials from

contracting companies and also public tenders with KNPC, KOC & Joint

Operations.

. Follow up with vendors to get quotation, clarification with vendors on

the offer received.

. Preparing the costing sheet (estimating the landed price) and

submitting the quotation to the Client after taking approval from the

management.

. Negotiation with vendors to get best price, payment terms & delivery,

issuing purchase order to the supplier / manufacturer upon receipt of

orders.

. Coordinating with vendors & contractor for the ITP, drawing submission

and approval & ensure timely delivery of materials.

. Appointing Third Party Inspection from the client approved list.

. Responsible for expediting all materials and equipment purchased

. Inspecting the materials on arrival.

. Developing new sources for the benefit of the company to achieve

savings.

. Responsible for the ISO documentation for the Procurement & Trading

Department.

Major Projects

Handled all the inquiries for the supply of Piping materials & also the

materials required for the shutdown jobs from M/s Tecnicas Reunidas for

the GC-28 -Capacity Expansion for Compression and Medium Crude

Processing.

Client - Kuwait Oil Company, Contractor- M/s Tecnicas Reunidas S.A.

. Also Managed the International Purchasing of materials for the

projects of ACME with M/s FTV Proclad for the Projects in Kuwait, M/s

Mero TSK for UAe Project, M/s SHBC for Kuwait Project.

. Material supply for the Projects of ACME with M/s ACICO in Abu Dhabi &

Qatar.

. Procurement of Capital items required for fabrication shop floor like

EOT cranes, Radial Drilling Machines, Welding machines, DG sets,

Lathes, Plate rolling machines etc.
