EXPERIENCE
2008-Present
Five plus years working independently at fast paced PSC (Patient Service Center) which can see
between fifty to sixty patients a day. Greet patients collect requisition and insurance
information. Enter patient’s data, call doctor or main lab to clarify test. Call patient back to draw
room where introductions are made, explain procedure and correctly identify spelling of
patient’s name, date of birth, and sex. Proceed with draw following Order of Draw, label
specimen, and bandage patient. Centrifuge specimens, separate plasma/serum refrigerate or
freeze depending on specimen requirements. Bag specimens for pick up, log room temp, frozen
and refrigerated specimens. Collect data such as patient count and wait times in put in daily log
and fax to supervisor. Monthly audit to insure all polices and procedures are being followed.
Continuous on -line training, Order office and lab supplies routine and stat.
