Senior Project Management
During my years with Trammell Crow Company and CBRE as a Senior Construction Project
Manager and Owner's Representative, I administered program planning and implementation at
the direction of the various property owners, operators and healthcare administrators, and was the
main point of contact representing CBRE. I guided negotiations with regulatory agencies and
interfaced with the public in support of my clients. I created and managed project plans, health
and safety plans, quality assurance/quality control plans, risk management plans, as well as other
required policies for CBRE. Established program requirements, such as project charters and
project budgets, both conceptual estimates at early stages, and detailed plans for approved
projects and monitored the final deliverables for adherence to these criteria. I was responsible for
all follow through on instructions and commitments associated with these projects. I closely
collaborated with stakeholders for planning, budgets development, schedules, and equitable plans

As the Vice President for Support Services for Prince William Hospital, I was a key member of
Hospital Administration involved in the planning and construction of various projects. I managed a
staff of 15 department professions which included Engineering, Environmental Services, Bio-
medical, Human Resources, Wellness, Child Care and Dietary. Positions held included Director of
Safety, Risk Management and Construction.

Generic Director/Senior Project Management Job Description
Basic Purpose
Provides full lifecycle project management of facility projects. Serves as an advisor for contracted
services.
Major Position Responsibility
Plans, secures and manages resources and execution for various facilities projects to ensure
construction specifications, budgets and deadlines are met.
Response - Experience and Action Plan
Create a “Project Charter” (SOW) for each project which captures project details and stakeholder
responsibilities. Information is collected from the stakeholders, architects and engineers. From the
information a preliminary budget is provided for approval in order for the project to move forward.
Upon budget approval and with the start of construction a Project Tracker is created to monitor
actual expenses against the budget throughout the project.

Solicits user input to develop requirements; plans and implements project execution through in-
house shop forces or by contract.

contract oversight. At CBRE and Prince William Hospital we used a variety of contracts including the
standard AIA contracts.

conducting patient and staff safety audits and activities. As the Risk Manager I would identify
potential risk issues, introduce policies, trend incidences and report the results to the Hospital Board.
Contractors are required to submit their safety policies for our review and approval. Unannounced
visits are made throughout the project. In addition, safety is discussed at each weekly construction
meeting. The GC is required to conduct monthly safety audits. These audits become part of the
meeting minutes.
