CAREER SUMMARY
September 2010- Present Sales Executive, Claims Advisory Group
This is a 100% telephone based cold calling sales role where I am working
for one the country's leading PPI recovery companies. My duties included
selling to consumers who have previously taken out a loan at some point in
time and was targeted on putting together 9 full leads to be put forward
for a claim, this lead involved a letter of engagement, previous loan
information, bank account information and bank details. I achieved 13 per
day on average and Claims Advisory would take 39% of successful claims.
Commission was paid on the pack coming back in so excellent rapport
building and communication skills had to be utilised as well as having a
firm understanding of financial products and current economic affairs
April 2010- August 2010 Premier Sales and Service Adviser, Barclays
Bank,
I was involved in organising, interacting and executing client facing
transactions on a daily basis. Experience in sending, receiving and
resolving international money transfers and problem solving in FOREX
transfers/issues. Dealing with high net worth clients and selling them
financial products such as bonds, ISA's and other Premier products over the
telephone as well. Understanding clients problems on an individual by
individual basis and providing the appropriate financial advice
accordingly.
March 2009- March 2010 Nights GA (Grocery) Tesco Store, High Wycombe
Part of the night staff at the High Wycombe store working on the Grocery
Department whilst offering support to Fresh and Dairy Department.
Responsible for completing the Home bake and Household Isle to time scales
and offering support on other isles such as Crisps, meat, drinks etc. I
built up excellent relationships with my colleagues and my managers. I was
working to timed deadlines as to when to complete these isles to the best
standards.
September 2008- March 2009 Assistant Quantity Surveyor Air Sector -
Heathrow T2B Project,
Turner & Townsend Management Consultancy, Heathrow
The T2B project is currently the largest Infrastructural undertaking for
Heathrow Airport as an estimated half a billion project. The commission
required consultancy work to provide the most effective cost plan /
representation of the finished pier for our client BAA. The role required
my assistance in preparing the cost build up for the Infrastructure and
Civil, this was completed through the use of various cost modelling methods
and procurement strategies. My numerate background provided the foundation
to complete this work. The use of IT packages included Excel, Integra, Cato
and CAD which I became very accustomed to.
The numerical based role did provide large variety, as cost managers
responsibility was placed on us to ensure contracts were complied /
completed and sent out to contractors. Effective cost management was
extended to ensure payments were made correcting and within framework
agreements.
As a Client Site Project strong emphasis was placed on building
relationships with the client. A professional manner was exerted at all
times when engaging with the client, contractors, suppliers and competing
businesses to complete very specific tasks, often to timed deadlines.
