Scripting - Responsible for the creation and maintenance of new internal tools. Tools primarily consisted

of Shell scripts that interacted with the UNIX OS and Oracle databases. These scripts utilized multiple

tools that included grep, sed, perl and awk. The level 2 operational DBAs use these tools as the primary

means of monitoring roughly 200+ DBs worldwide.

SQL Programming - Created database objects (tables, views and stored procedures) to increase the

productivity of the operational DBAs. Procedures ranged from those that check user accounts to those

that run SQL across multiple servers. Generated PL/SQL queries that provide important information to

the administrator.

Support - Provided phone support for customer, after hours to support long running processes. Traveled

to the site when necessary to assist the on shift administrator.

Training - Responsible for the training of all new employees using SOP up-to-date.

ETL and data mapping/customization with special request.

Customized environments creation with specific product’ structure and data in RAC and single DBs.
