Marketing & Content Strategy and Execution

Responsible for setting, phasing, and managing a $2 million marketing budget, including creation of new out-of-the-box marketing ideas

for small budget clients. Partnered with sales and promotions to identify, create, and execute high-impact profitable Hispanic-targeted

events, including festivals, concerts, and sports. Developed a marketing campaign strategy across various multimedia platforms that were

adopted and now executed on other Univision stations in markets across the country.

Directed grassroots marketing and promotions effort that resulted in X 96.3 further increasing its rank position from a low-performer

to #7 in the overall market, leading to Radio Ink’s nomination of “Major Market Station of the Year” in 2013

Utilized Nielson Audio and Geoscape software to capitalize on population figures to geo target areas for outdoor marketing

campaigns: billboards, bus/train, and kiosks, contributing to the 20% increase in Persons 12+ ratings

Appointed to execute social media efforts for Univision Radio stations in New York, Miami, and Puerto Rico. Built social media

campaigns to expand on-air and on-site engagement around the station content and brands and to bridge audience connectively with

call-ins, live events, and talent and artist promotions

Lead the successful curation of digital, social media, and smart phone App (“Uforia”) content, leading to Uforia surpassing two

million subscribers in its first six months and one of the fastest growing music Apps in the U.S.

Utilized integrated marketing to transition stations from a traditional radio signal to a multi-media platform integrating digital,

social media, and smart phone Apps

Developed marketing and event campaign strategies for national brands focused on expanding their Hispanic consumer base:

Heineken, Latin Grammy Fly-Aways, H&R Block, Puerto Rican Day Parade float, and Bacardi Latin Nights activations

Programming & Brand Development

Directed programming and brand development of competitive New York Spanish-language radio stations with over two million listeners,

responsible for all aspects of stations’ music, talent, and ratings positioning. Analyze focus group research to enhance, grow, and expose

the radio station and talent brands, with ongoing refinements to maintain competitive edge.

Instrumental in driving the successful launch of radio station X 96.3 to become a top-10 general market station and #1 Spanish

language station in New York, with one of the highest Hispanic listenership in the country

Developed strategy and branding that placed the station’s then-new morning show (“The Luis Jimenez Show”) to one of the top 3

morning shows in the market and #1 Hispanic overall

Recruited talent and developed strategy that propelled afternoon and night on-air shows to being the #1 rated Spanish day parts in

the market, an achievement that had never been attained in the history of Univision Radio - New York

Partnered with sales and promotions to achieve talent connectivity and product integration to drive client retail opportunities for

Regal Cinemas, McDonalds, Macy’s and Metro PCS; resulted in cluster-leading 15% increase in station revenues in 2013
