alert for contingency operations worldwide.
. Volunteered for 12 month integration to assist with Special Operations
Squadron in direct support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
. Maintenance efforts in a four aircraft detachment directly resulted in
247.1 mishap free flight hours and 82 sorties. Obtained combat
readiness qualifications for deployment to Iraq.
. Performed numerous functions as the only work center Collateral Duty
Inspector during four major maintenance evolutions, all conducted
simultaneously.

2004-2006
Power Plants Maintenance Technician
. Provided operational support for Atlantic Fleet Aircraft Carrier Group
by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on six SH-60F
helicopters.
. Maintained work center Tool Accountability, IMRL and Hazardous
Material Handling programs.
. Awarded Coveted Safety Pro, 2006 for meticulous attention to detail
identifying and reporting discoloration on engine cowling resulting in
the prevention of loss of aircrew and extensive damage to equipment.
Further investigation showed an igniter had broken off allowing
internal engine air venting into the confined space.
. Directed the qualification of work center personnel in the operational
procedures for the SH-60F Vibration Analysis Test Set, resulting in a
measured qualification by 40%.
. Assisted in early completion of two critical phase inspections of
separate Aircraft Carriers prior to deployment. This allowed aircraft
to stay in a full mission capable status. Without early completion,
the aircraft would have gone into phase during deployment.

2002-2004
Emergency Arresting Gear Maintenance Technician
. Performed maintenance on four sets of E-28 Arresting Gear Systems
utilized during in-flight emergencies, allowing pilots to catch a wire
to stop the aircraft during landing.
. Awarded Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal on the spot by the
Base Commanding Officer. Receiving the award in this manner is highly
unusual especially for a lower ranked person. The medal was for
operating outside the field of expertise, using experience and logic
to troubleshoot and repair an integral electrical machine critical to
the F-18 squadron completing qualifications following air-to-air
combat training. The resulting saving to the Navy over $10,000 and
allowed the squadron to complete its assigned mission.
. Single-handedly cleared a backlog of outstanding maintenance
discrepancies caused by prior neglect of previous technician.
Defined, established and managed a reoccurring schedule of
inspection/servicing schedule to properly maintain equipment resulting
in the highest material readiness possible. Extensive maintenance
efforts were noted during the airfield certification, as achieving
above standards ratings both mechanically and cosmetically.
