Education

Prairie View A&M University August 2009-May 2013

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, completing 52 hours of Biology, 25

hours of Chemistry, and 55 hours of basics including Physics, Calculus, and computer education.

During my undergraduate education I received dean’s list honors multiple semesters and finished with a 3.33

grade point average.

Many hours were devoted to helping the community and other students through organizations such as

Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, Brothers Leading and Cultivating Knowledge, and

Undergraduate Medical Academy.

Research Experience

Department of Microbiology, Prairie View A&M University June 2011-August 2011

Working with a group of students lead by a PhD professor of microbiology, our team studied the pathology of

keratitis caused by Streptococcus pneumonia in a murine (mouse) model using in vitro and in vivo methods.

Laboratory techniques, procedures and etiquette were covered in depth as part of our introduction into research.

Work Experience

Walmart U.S. Logistics July 2013-Present

As a shipping dock loading associate, I prepare trailers for shipment to the stores, maintaining thousands of cases

per day. As a reward for my work, I was recently trained to maintain the shipping dock as the shipping dock clerk.

I have also been licensed to use WP lifts and training has begun to use PE lifts.

Longwood Elastomers, Inc. June 2012-February 2013

As a position II operator, I was responsible for adding water or oil resistant rubber material to prepared pipes,

according to specific specifications, that were later used on offshore oil drilling rigs. I received exemplary reviews

on my work during the time I was an employee.
