Printing Machine Operator

• Responsible for preparing, maintaining and operating printing presses

• Responsible for proper adjustment according to ink distribution, temperature and speed

• Observe and make sure that the film feeds were stocked plentifully

• Responsible for maintaining, cleaning and performed minor repairs as needed

• Turn, push or move controls to set and adjust speed, temperature, inkflow, and position and pressure tolerances of press.

• Review work order to determine ink, stock and equipment needed for production.

• Dismantle and reassemble printing unit or parts, using hand and power tools, to repair, maintain or adjust machine.

• Clean and lubricate printing machine and components (e.g., rollers, screens, typesetting, reservoirs) using oil, solvents, brushes, rags and hoses.

• Remove printed materials from press, using handtruck, electric lift or hoist, and transport them to drying, storage or finishing areas.

Fullerton College - FTA First Operator Level 1 Certificate

Fullerton College - Course in Flexo, Digital, Offset, and screen printing
