• Cross-sectional field study of the adverse health effects associated with close proximity to hydraulic
fracturing sites
• Proximity to sites were categorized into proximity ranges and prevalence of various symptoms were
assessed
• Used chi square ( 2) test to determine association between proximity to fracturing site and health
conditions

• Collaborated with Boston Childrens Hospital in testing a newly modified lab approach
• Laboratory and theoretical study of aseptic technique to determine growth of microbes on lipid
emulsions
• > 100 samples were assessed to determine growth of a common staphylococcus during emulsion
