Description : Below Poverty Line is an economic benchmark and poverty

threshold used by the government of India to indicate economic disadvantage

and to identify individuals and households in need of government assistance

and aid. It is determined using various parameters which vary from state to

state and within states. The government of INDIA has decided to extend some

benefits to the BPL families for improvement in their economic status by

the way of different schemes. At present there is no proper mechanism for

tracking the implementation and effectiveness of the schemes. So we propose

to develop a system which Lists and tracks usage of benefit programmes and

facilities by individual BPL families.
