Electrical & Automation Engineer

As an E&A engineer I was in charge of troubleshooting, diagnose, and

upgrade the electrical system of the generator set. Make recommendations to

the client on how to maintain their electrical systems in optimal operating

conditions and prevent failures due to operation or maintenance. Implement

upgrades, commission them and hand over to the customer complete with

wiring diagrams and test results.

. Rewiring of DR Bird Power plant, Jamaica after losing two 6MW.

Commissioning and testing pressure sensors, and protection systems.

Testing over speed protection systems until start up.

. Antigua Power plant automation systems upgrade. Complete rewiring and

commissioning of the local control panel complete with as built wiring

diagrams.

. Performed CO2 cleaning. Basic Insulation testing on the generator for

performance health. Record the results before and after the cleaning.

Inspection of the mechanical bearings for leaks. Inspect the

insulation for wear and damage that could cause to lower the generator

performance.

. Commissioning auxiliary engineer on Guyana Energy Partners ext # 3 at

Kingnston, Guyana. Troubleshooting faults and different electrical

situations.

. ABB AVR installation upgrade and commissioning for Aqualectra,

Cura?ao. Removal and installation of the AVR plate. Rewiring and

settings upload. Startup and commissioning tests.

. Troubleshooting different faults over the phone and onsite service to

different clients providing a suitable solution.

. Rewiring the entire Generator systems after an engine fire at GEBE

Power Plant, St Maarten. Sensors testing and commissioning.

. Alternator replacement and commissioning in DR Bird II Power Plant,

Jamaica complete with AVR tests and rewiring.
