Work Experience

Research Assistant

Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Oklahoma State University Jan 2009-Aug 2014

Determined the hydrocarbon degradation potential of halophilic Arhodomonas spp.

Identified complete hydrocarbon degradation pathways in Arhodomonas sp. strain Seminole using draft

genome sequence and bioinformatics tools.

Detected several enzymes of hydrocarbon degradation in Arhodomonas spp. using a proteomic approach.

Designed PCR primers and revealed presence of catabolic genes in benzoate-degrading archaeal

enrichment.

Identified members of benzoate-degrading archaeal enrichment by creating16S rRNA gene library.
