As the Construction Subcontracts Manager, I’m responsible for the administration of
subcontractor contracts and performance on multiple construction projects in accordance
with the valid, executed contract, per company policies. I interface on a daily basis with
subcontractors and/or clients throughout the entire Project Life Cycle, encompassing the
construction cost estimate, tendering, negotiation and contract formulation and
subsequent management of subcontracts of high complexity. I supervise the
administration of the subcontracts for multiple project sites. I currently lead subcontracting
activities including designated bid and delivery programs and I’m also responsible for
supporting and developing the objectives of the commercial function within the
construction organization. This includes, but is not limited to all of the following activities:
• Manage Request For Quote (RFQ) process for subcontractors; identify potential
subcontractors, assemble the RFQ package, and coordinate RFQ clarifications
• Track subcontractor contract against its schedule, budget and against phase review
objectives, reporting status to management and customer on a regular basis, and
executive staff on an as needed basis.
• Administer Change Order Management; review contractual basis for change order,
coordinate approval process, maintain change order logs, and cost
reporting/forecasting.
